It is odd for me to be posting twice in one day; however, my computer currently does not have Internet access.... So I am employing my parent's computer. Back to the matter at hand --- I have been reading Agnes Grey for some time now, and I came upon a passage that is food for thought.
"...But if one civilized man were doomed to pass a dozens years amid a race of intractable savages, unless he had power to improve them, I greatly question whether, at the close of that period, he would not have become, at least, a barbarian himself" (p.96-97).
This simple statement may seem like common sense, but applied to every day life. Who are my friends? Who are my associates? Who am I around constantly?
This simple rule of Grey's is a great argument for homeschooling... With whom are my children constantly around? But not only for education, but church.... With what church am I associating? Are they true Christians? Can they build me up? Not only that, but reverse it... Am I one with which others would want to be associated? Can I build others up? Would I make them barbarians?

Weep with those who weep
Please pray for a dear family friends of mine. Yesterday, Sammi Martinez fell and knocked out one tooth, while driving two more into the gum and breaking her jaw. She is medicated, but she must be frightened. Please pray that God will give her rest and she will heal quickly. Please also pray for comfort for the family who is no doubt worried about their youngest member.

What God hath joined together
Today, Kevin Beezhold married Claire Jackson. It was a beautiful ceremony, filled with the story of God's love to his people. Just as God gave us the gift of His Son, He gave Kevin and Claire the gift of marriage. I am blessed to know the couple through church and small gatherings of friends.
My prayer is that God will continue to bless them in their life together.

Fear Not!
The "Joy in Serving" Christmas party/meeting was hosted at my home this year, and it was a wonderful opportunity for me to read an article in the New Horizons magizine. "Fear Not" was so inspiring, that I had to share it with everyone here on my blog.

Our last Bank Christmas Party
Working at Citizens Bank has been such a blessing for me. Not only did I gain experience, but I forged relationships with lots of wonderful christian people. One of the perks of working at Citizens was that I got invited to the Christmas Party. Fellowships, carols, games, and good food all contributed towards a delightful evening. Well, this is my last year to enjoy those things. It has been five years, and I was so pleased to be part of the Citizens family.
I'll post pictures of this year after tonight's festivities.
But here are some from last year:
