Decisions, Decisions

Hmph. Well, Google informs me that I've used all of my storage space. So, I need to make a decision about my blog. And here are my current options:

A) Continue my current blog without anymore pictures.
B) Pay for more storage space
C) Start a new blog
D) Discontinue blogging entirely

I'll be praying and considering carefully my options... I do enjoy blogging. And, it gives me an outlet to write and think, but is it the best use of my time? "All things are lawful for me, but not all things are profitable." 1 Cor. 6:12a

If y'all have any advice or thoughts to share, feel free to comment! :O)

Weekend Women's Retreat

Several weekends ago, I had the great pleasure of attending the Presbytery of Ohio's Women's retreat. And it was such a blessing! It was relaxing, convicting, and encouraging.

Getting in the car
Although I did get carsick, the trip was enjoyable.  The wisdom of the older women with me was amazing. Opportunities to ask questions and to listen to their stories were precious.

When we arrived the camp, the beauty of God's creation struck me anew... so we went on a short walk before our sessions began...

Mrs. Tara Barthel with Peacemaker Ministries was an impressive speaker. Funny, articulate, and smooth, she would make you laugh and convict you within moments. But, Tara was quick to remind us that we don't start with our work. We start with what God has done for us. We start with the indicative --> what Christ has done for us and who we are.... and then move on to the imperative ---> God's commands and how we should live.

Materials
You knew that I would bring some books, right?
Our room
It was nice to fellowship with so many godly women apart from distractions. In our every day existence, we become so busy that we can forget God. Sometimes those two days can refocus us in the right direction.

There were no men...
And it was nice to see some "old" friends too. :)

Ohio Presbytery Youth Camp: Camp Views

Last year, I promised pictures and they never came... This year WILL be different.

Without further ado... Summer Camp!

Our sign is very important.... Putting it up (or taking it down) can be a very important moment.... And yes, we took lots of photos. :P

Isn't this area beautiful?!

Creation Museum

When my Dad suggested we make a stop at the Creation Museum on our way home from KY, all I could do was excitedly shout, "YES!" So on our way home, we stopped at the museum for 6 hours. And it was everything that I hoped it would be. :)

The staff were quick to welcome us... and point us in the right direction.

As soon as we acquired our tickets...

the displays amazed me. :)

The 7 C's were one of my favorite pieces of the museum.

Me, Daniel, and Mom in front of a cave display

I loved the museum's emphasis on the Bible's answers to life's problems/questions.
And the emphasis on evolution's lack of answers...

What are our lives without God?

Sin. Chaos. Death. Destruction.

But, God's truth is wonderful!
The creations videos, displays, and animations were excellent reminders of our merciful God.

The history walk-through was great.
From Adam and Eve's sin to the Great Flood.
From Babel to the Cross.
Man's sinfulness and God's faithfulness were before us.

I was so excited for the ark exhibit!

The story of Noah's ark had always been fascinating to me...
what a great experience to see a life-size "piece" of it.

The ark was HUGE! Daniel could have fit inside the walls. WOW.

Stay tuned for part 2...

Homeschool Conference

Every year, I look forward with great anticipation to the homeschool conference... And this year was a blast! Between graduation, the skit, making vendor lunches, workshops, and the fabulous vendor hall, my family and I had a wonderful time!

Friday evening is the graduation ceremony with a reception afterward... The girlies and I were in charge of the punch bowl. And what would you expect, but lots of pictures?!
