My Prison Uniform

So, I wore this to the Berry's, and I had an interesting conversation with Jude about it. Apparently, stripes are for convicts and robbers. Tee hee hee. I'm feeling gangsta.

Fashion Faux Pas

I think Dee's worried about me... I wore toe socks with flips-flops. Yikes! But, my feet were cold, I had no other shoes... May it never happen again. *Grins*

Fall Fashions

I do LOVE fall. Cider, pumpkins, hay bales, warm colors, my birthday ;), and the cutest fashions - Mm! What's not to like? Today was the first day that actually felt like fall. Overcast, windy, and chilly. Right up my alley.

What better to wear to work than a sweater, scarf, dressy pants, and heels?

A good sweater covers most of my hand

Kitten heels
Black N' White is fun too

So, girlies, what is your favorite fall fashion?

Smallville Fashionistas

Spring (and Fall?) is the season for jackets and trench coats. And Smallville certainly embraces the trend...

Is Chloe going green? Perhaps in more ways than one? ;)

I love the leather-ish look of her jacket!

And the back!
And Lois is definitely pretty in pink. :)

Don't Clark and Lois look cute?!

If Chloe gets bored with green, she'll switch to red...

Scarves are often seen in the fall, but they can be a lovely addition in the Spring too.

Something light and pretty.

And a classic trench is good for any wardrobe.

A Classic Never Fails: Betty Ross

Betty Ross captured Bruce Banner's (a.k.a The HULK) heart with her sweet, gentle (sometimes), and winning personality. And we all love her for it! But, she also won our hearts for her cute, classic sense of style.

When we first see Betty in The Incredible Hulk, she has donned a wrap dress. The print is bold, but Betty looks feminine and delightful!

It's lovely for on campus. I approve! :P

Neutrals are Betty's best friends. And her trench coat is perhaps her greatest piece.

Her skinny jeans and flats paired with a leather "Jack Bag" (Messenger bag for those of you who don't speak 24) complete her look.

Okay. I'll admit it. This outfit below is what made me love Betty's style. I know some who disagree with me, but I think she looks adorable. Black n' White is classic, timeless. And Betty is made for it. A pin tuck blouse, pencil skirt, and pumps. *Sigh*

Betty's glasses are a fav of mine too. Those dark frames are perfect complement to her face.

Betty loves black. And it loves her too.

Her button up blouse paired w/a dark wash jean is great for "on the run." Yet, she still manages to look nice.

Click on the picture below... Aren't her shoes interesting? I can't decided whether I LOVE them... Or I'm indifferent. Thoughts?

Alright, you caught me. None of the outfits below are Betty's. They belong to Liv Tyler. Production shots from The Incredible Hulk.

But isn't Liv's sweater/leggings combo cute? I love the colors.

And I fell hook, line, and sinker for this hat. Too fun!

Without a doubt, Betty has some cute, fashiony tips. Mmm, I think I need to go shopping. :)

E Bella!: Chuck's feminine side

Despite her masculine-ish name, Chuck is anything but! Pushing Daises's Charlotte ("Chuck") Charles enchanted the Pie Maker and delighted viewers. And her clothes are simply scrumptious!

With her sweet, retro styles, Chuck can't go wrong.

Check out those red heels!

I love her hair too!

Her pink, rosy sweater is lovely. And her headband matches nicely.

I really like this knit, yellow dress. The buttons up the front are a nice detail.

Don't Chuck and Ned look cute together?

Isn't Chuck's kerchief adorable?! It reminds me of something my grandmother would wear to keep her hair in place. And the sunglasses are a great touch. ;)

I'm sure what this dress is supposed to look like, but I love it. Cute and whimsical.

I feel the need to watch Pushing Daises again... :P

For those of you who have been waiting for this post... Sorry! Tee hee hee. You know who you are. :-)

A Feminine Detail

Inspired by AmandaBeth online, I decided to post some lovely feminine pieces from various television or silver screen ladies -- hopefully culminating in an in-depth discussion in Beth's wardrobe from Moonlight. While waiting for the time to work on Beth's fashion series, I stumbled upon some of Chloe's adorable clothes from Smallville season 9.

Isn't this jacket gorgeous?
Structured, neutral, and feminine details...
Look at the pin tucks!

And her cute pink shirt.
Maybe her curls are a tribute to her wedding day?
Never underestimate the power of a jacket. It may be just the perfect addition to complete a feminine outfit!

MMW: Modern Marian - Another Side

When I was considering what Marian would look like if she lived now, I immediately jumped to the Sherwood gal we all know and love. Boots. Vests. Full (perhaps even split) skirt for easy movement. It's not hard to picture Marian with a bow, and her Night Watchman identity comes as no surprise. She couldn't sit still and do nothing. But there's another side of her, too. I call it the "castle side." The side of her that is elegant in satin and velvet, where she's girlie and proper. And all in a refined manner that is not overly delicate, but perfectly lovely and ladylike. Bow and dagger are put away for the moment, and her tactics turn to political influence and spying.

After watching Keely, Kelsie, and Laura all capture what I think is the essence of modern Sherwood Marian, I decided to try my hand at her castle side. (Only I didn't have a castle handy for a beautiful backdrop.)

My shimmery satin blouse with glittering buttons was the perfect starting place. Beautiful, yet practical and comfortable, this piece seems so Marian. I paired it with a traditional black gored skirt. Black makes it elegant, and the lines of the gores give it a tailored look while not restricting movement.

Curly locks are pulled back with glittery pearl and faux diamond pins. Not only are they pretty, but one never knows when they'll come in handy for saving Robin... :)

What I'm Wearing:
Satin blouse - Dressbarn
Black tank - Gabes
Black skirt - Christopher and Banks
Strappy, black heels - Target
Pearl bobby pins - Claires
Pearl Flower hair pins - Wal-mart
Glittery, drop earrings - Claires

MMW: Kiri's Medieval Marian

Lincoln green and designed for archery, my copy of Susan Pevensie's archery dress seemed perfect for a Marian photo shoot. Only I felt more like Susan than Marian... Easily fixed! Just add a Marian-like braid and boots...

And then wander into our Sherwood Forest look-a-like backyard...

And it's impossible not to feel Marian-esque. :)
